Our Favorite 90s TV Reboots

Here at Unfaded Era we love to unwind and regress back to childhood with a big bowl of cereal and some of our favorite 90s cartoons and sitcoms. Apparently we're not the only ones because so many shows that we loved in the 90s are being rebooted for television this year. As long as the shows pay homage to the originals, we're all for it. Here are some of our favorite 90s shows and movies that have been rebooted or will be airing again soon:
Hey Arnold
Hey Arnold, a dramedy about a 4th grader growing up in New York City aired from 1996 to 2004. We consider this to be one of the best cartoons of the 90s. Not only were some of the themes surprisingly mature, but what kid didn't want to live in the city after watching this?
Nickelodeon has confirmed a tv movie sequel called Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie which will air some time in 2017. The movie will pick up right where the series left off.
Legends of the Hidden Temple
Legends of the Hidden Temple was an action-adventure game show that aired on Nickelodeon from 1993 to 1995. As kids this was our version of American Ninja Warrior, The Hunger Games, and Jeopardy rolled into one.
A TV movie reboot about 3 siblings who break away from a jungle tour and have to use skills to survive a real temple, has been scheduled for the fall.
Rush Hour
Rush Hour, a 1998 action comedy about two very different detectives who are forced to team up in order to solve a kidnapping, is still one of our favorite movies from the 90s thanks to Chris Tucker's knack for comedy and Jackie Chan's impressive action skills. The film has already had two sequels.
Now CBS is airing a tv show based on the franchise- the show premiers March 31.
Full House
There were many family-centered dramedys in the 90s, but Full House was one of the most popular. This show aired from 1987 to 1995 and followed a widower, Danny, raising his 3 daughters with the help of his brother-in-law and best friend.
The Netflix reboot, Fuller House, premiered in February. Fuller House is a sequel to the original show, and follows Danny's daughter DJ after she becomes a widow and her sister and best friend both move in to help her raise her 3 boys.
Boy Meets World
Boy Meets World aired from 1993 to 2000 and followed the life of Cory Matthews as he dealt with the events and lessons of growing up. We loved seeing Cory's transition from a middle school kid to a married man.
Girl Meets World, a sequel following Cory and his wife Topanga's daughter, aired in 2014. The third season will premiere this spring.
